White tails and more!

You can never stop learning something new. This weekend Caitlin Andresson, one of our students taught us a super easy trick to really get whites very white… orange Cheetos no more!  At our Grassroots horse show, our assistant Tracy Nystrom, who was helping everyone get ready pointed this out to me- Redding’s tail was blinding white with minimal work and no harsh chemicals or bleach, simply amazing. Caitlin is my hero.

How to make a white tail white, but maybe this could be used in other applications?

Ingredients:

Dawn dish detergent

Baking Soda

White Vinegar

Proportions are according to how much you need to make/how many tails to clean

In a medium-sized bowl, mix baking soda into Dawn until you’ve added enough to form a paste.

Apply paste to mane/tail and work through evenly.  Let sit for 15-20 minutes.

Pour vinegar on paste and work through thoroughly.

Rinse well.

Condition as needed.
