With these crazy quarantine times our riders are getting out of show practice. We are putting together a Show Clinic with USEF “R” Judge Jeanne Smith for Saturday, April 18th. Cost is $200. Luis will trim your mount. Riders (2 at a time) will warm up with Caroline in the middle ring. Then shift to the main ring with Andrea to do a hunter course and an equitation course. We will have a videographer in the gazebo with Jeanne who will commentate the round as she judges. First impression, thoughts on horse, position, etc. After the rounds the rider will have the opportunity to get feedback from judge (also videoed), ask questions, and also receive their judges card with marks and comments. Not only will this environment simulate the pressure of a show, but it is a VERY unique opportunity to get insight into the judges mind and eye. We are so lucky that our riders are still able to come lesson but staying in show practice is important as well. The signup will be available through Signup Genius and based on levels and interest we will put together a schedule for next weekend. We hope you can participate.
The schedule will maintain our standard of social distancing. Unfortunately it is not an opportunity to stay and watch and listen. But, riders can choose to share their videos which will allow them to learn from watching and listening to the feedback. This is optional but recommended.
