Rider Apparel Exchange

My brother, Eric Karns who for years has made fun of my horse obsession now has a daughter with the same affliction! With skin in the game he now sees how expensive this sport can be and is trying his hardest to eliminate any superfluous costs. In the past we have had quite successful tack exchanges but have more recently run out of a main person to head it up. As I stopped doing it awhile ago, Eric has volunteered to run it. I am submitting his note below. If a bunch of our riders who I’m sure has outgrown some of their apparel participate, it should be as great a success as in years past…

It’s time to clear out those trunks and closets! We’re hosting a Rider Apparel Exchange, and you’re invited to take part.

If you have riding apparel that’s unused, outgrown, or no longer needed, bring it along and give it a second life. This is a great opportunity to pass along items you no longer use and maybe pick up something new-to-you in return.

Here’s how it works:
– Dig through the bottom of your trunk or the back of your closet for any riding gear you’re ready to part with
– Bring your items to the tack room at the barn on May 16th
– Tags will be available on-site for you to label your items
– The exchange will run for approximately one week

Let’s make the most of what we already have and help each other out in the process.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. Eric Karns 704 953 3864 We hope to see you there!
