Preparing your Body for Performance

Saturday morning (time TBD, 9 or 10ish) December 18th Jennifer Brunelli a sports dietician and nutritionist will be coming to Cedarhill Farm.  We want to create an opportunity for the riders to understand and embrace the fact that they are athletes.  We put so much into the horses as far as nutrition, fitness, and body care (lasers, pulsing, Chiro, acupuncture, injections, etc.)  Jennifer, who works with The Panthers, UNCC, Nascar, etc, competed as a high level College athlete herself, as well as her extensive education in sports nutrition, will come and introduce concepts of how food prepares the body for performance.
The first session is recommended for the Parents and the Child Athletes.  It will be an introduction to the world of sports nutrition and how it affects performance.  If there is enough interest Jennifer will return to do more sessions with athletes only and then a virtual parent follow up.  She also offers individual one on one options for those interested in more specific or personal nutrition/fitness programs
Potential Topics:
The science of food
How to time your eating for peak performance
What food fuel you need before and after
Understanding body type
Hydration
It is a complex topic especially with the age of our athletes but it is a vital part of setting yourself up for success.  Making sure you arrive at the ring with energy, muscles that work, and mental clarity.  Food plays a HUGE role in this.
There will be a signup genius to gage interest.  Cost is $30/person. We hope you will help us help your athlete by providing information to be better, stronger, and more prepared for performance.
