Plan Ahead for 2019

 

Memberships:
Rider, Owner, and Horse must be a member for points to count. USEF and USHJA are required to compete. All others are optional but you must be a member to participate in any organization specific equitation class.

Andrea is a member of all organizations

A/AA Show Riders – USEF, USHJA, WCHR, NCHJA, SCHJA, PSJ Child/Adult Championships – membership separate on USHJA.org

C Show Riders – NCHJA, SCHJA, PSJ, BRHJA

Goals for A and AA Riders:

  1. Qualify for Devon, Harrisburg, Washington, and The National
  2. Qualify for WCHR finals at Capitol Challenge
  3. Qualify for National Medal Finals at 3’3” and/or 3’6”
  4. Qualify for state specific medal finals
  5. Qualify for Zone 3 Finals
  6. Compete at Southeast Child/Adult Championships
  7. Participate in a Pony, National , or International Derby
  8. Qualify for Pony Finals or Junior Hunter Finals

Goals for C Show Riders:

  1. Qualify for state level Medal Finals
  2. Qualify for PSJ 2’ or 2’6” Mini-Medal and Derby Finals
  3. Qualify for PSJ 3’ Medal Finals
  4. Qualify for BRHJA Medal Finals 2’6” or 3’ (age specific)
  5. Qualify for Palmetto Derby Finals 3’-3’3”

Goals for Grassroots Riders:

  1. Gain confidence in the ring
  2. Work on being consistent from class to class and show to show
  3. Participate and ribbon in Derby
  4. Time management – outfit, horse care, knowing your courses, etc

All of these organizations have year-end banquets where riders can receive ribbons and prizes for points they have accrued over the year.
