As we prepare for our Cedarhill Riders- Gigi Phillip on Oro, Ava Svatos on Spritely for the indoor shows and Stephanie Strean and Katelyn Havnaer on their Children hunters- Clifford and Fred for the Washington International Children’s Classic, I thought it would be a good idea to let Pony, Children and Adult Hunter riders as well as our equitation riders know how they too can qualify for the next season- Meanwhile- hope you can cheer on your fellow riders- Here is where our qualified riders will be:
The 2021 Pennsylvania National Junior division will be held Thursday October 14 & 15
The Washington International Horse Show Juniors will be held October 29 and Children’s October 26-27 (this year held in Tryon!)
The National Horse Show Juniors will be held November 4-5
It is quite an accomplishment to qualify for these “indoors” shows as they are referred by since they are limited in numbers as the shows progress- at the National only the top 15 junior hunters qualify per section. Pretty cool that both Oro and Spritely made it in with their riders!
Heres the gathered information regarding goals for our riders to shoot for this upcoming year. In almost every case you need to become a member of USEF and USHJA , as well as join at the state level- NCHJA and SCHJA. For Children’s hunters become a member of WIHS at link below.
WCHR (World Champion Hunter Rider) and the Maclay 3’6 Equitation requires a separate membership as well. Although most of these are Junior goals- there are Adult/Amateur Hunter Finals as well-

There are also Zone 3 Finals, held in Malvern, VA which this year conflict with the WIHS show which we are attending. Hopefully in the future this won’t be the case.

EJ Haun Junior Medal – 3’6 Equitation Medal- Finals held at NCHJA Annual Show – last weekend of June
Bryan Jones Adult Equitation Medal Finals- Finals held at NCHJA Annual Show – last weekend of June
NCHJA Pony Medal Finals- Finals held at NCHJA Annual Show – last weekend of June
