Cedarhill Session Lesson Policy- Spring Break

We have a number of you who are heading out of town for Spring Break and will be missing your session lesson. Unfortunately since our riders hail from a number of schools, all with different Spring Break Vacation Dates we can’t designate one particular week where we give our horses and our instructors a week off and cancel lessons. Because of this we are business as usual, and need to bill for our lessons accordingly. Most of you have familiarized yourselves with our lesson policy, but for those who haven’t, I have copied our policy from our website, located on the Lesson page. There was some confusion with the wordage, I hope the changes made in the wordage clear up any confusion. The policy has not changed.
Note that we can’t “take off” the lesson that you won’t be here, since as I said above, we are business as usual, and our instructors are still here, teaching your lesson, along with our ponies.
If you would like to give up your session lesson and pay the non-discounted rate of $105 per lesson, please let Brian know ahead of time. These lessons can be canceled for Spring Break or for any other reason with a 24 hour notice.  Discounted $80 Group Lessons can not. Hope this clears up any confusion.
Session Lessons:

A session is 1 month. A session averages 4 lessons per month but that isn’t always the case.  For example if your lesson was on Tuesdays, most months there would be 4 Tuesdays in the month but due to Holidays and the way the days fall in the month, there might only be 3 Tuesdays one month, and then 5 the next. For this reason the session isn’t a fixed 4 lessons per month and Brian will bill accordingly. For the discounted rate they must be prepaid and there is no rescheduling or canceling. Session riders have priority scheduling.  You commit to same day and time and prepay by the 1st for a discounted rate of $80/lesson.  There are no makeups or rescheduling regardless of the reason.
If you wish to change the day, or time of your session or discontinue your session, please inform both your instructor and Brian (bookkeeper) through email.  . His email address is Brian@Cedarhillfarminc.com  We have a late charge of $25. for lesson payments paid after the 1st, and a $80 late charge for lessons paid after the 10th

A la Carte Lessons:

If you do not want to commit to same day and time or would like the option of rescheduling or canceling outside of 24 hours, you can pay the non-discounted rate of $105.  Although these lessons are able to be canceled or rescheduled without penalty for any reason, we ask that you give us 24 hour notice. Please note that we cannot guarantee availability for a la carte lessons as our session lesson riders take preference.

Private Lessons:

Private lessons are $105.  Limited availability and recommended for beginners just starting out, advanced riders, or riders needing to address a specific issue. These lessons can be canceled or rescheduled without penalty for any reason however we do ask that you give us 24 hour notice.

 Bad Weather:
On the rare occasions we do not ride due to inclement weather Cedarhill instructors take the opportunity to focus on horsemanship.  How to treat injuries, wrap legs, why we use different equipment on different horses, course design, etc.  There is much more to horses than just riding.  Our goal is to provide your child with a well rounded equestrian education.

If there is severe weather or ice we will call and cancel.  Please do not assume.
