Upcoming 2020-2021 Show Schedule

Its that time of year- Caroline and I take a rainy cold day to look at the upcoming year’s show schedule and start planning… of course then in April or May we look at ourselves and wonder what we were thinking – scheduling as much as we did- it always looks so doable on paper from the comfort of home…

We are trying to think ahead and NOT overdo the schedule- thinking of our families and just as importantly – our horses.  Back to back shows at the same location makes it easy for our riders and horses to gain traction with the familiarity of doing it for a second week in a row. Then we hopefully can schedule at least a week break in between before the next venue. We look at AA vs A, especially once spring rolls around. Most of the winter shows we will be attending are single A which has less points but with less competition, the points that are available are more likely earned by us đŸ™‚

Although Highfields PSJ Aiken A Shows aren’t our favourite, they nonetheless have much to offer and we hope to attend them, along with the more favored Bruce’s Field A Shows. Again, an easier place to qualify for the coveted indoors and Devon shows we want to head to this spring and fall that is close by in a good town.

For all of our C Show riders; we have tried to have at least one of those shows each month as well. They are a good place to get started, with stalls and entry fees costing less. Note that even though you are just starting out, you might want to join us at some of the A shows- especially some of the more fun locations; Tryon International Equestrian Center (TIEC) and Blowing Rock have short and long stirrup and up, along with most of the other A shows. Talk to us further for suggestions.

Check out the schedule we have just posted on Sign Up genius and let us know by signing up which you are wanting to attend. If there some that you prefer that aren’t up there don’t hesitate to let us know! Five or more riders endures that we will go.

Happy Riding!
