Last night our rider’s held a great surprise party for Rebeka, our Slovakian exchange student. This was after telling Rebeka who had asked everyone to have a farewell party that they were busy and couldn’t make it. Rebeka unexpectedly is returning home early to be with her ill mother and was touched by the outpouring of love and affection demonstrated. As anyone who is around Rebeka knows; to have a great party one must have Bo-Jangles chicken and Bunt cakes- recent American discoveries, and so that is what our riders made sure were present. Emily Burton put together a fabulous scrap book, sparing nobody, regardless of how compromising the picture might be, which we all signed before presenting to her. Sara Evans did a great job of holding Rebeka off at home till the set up was complete, insisting that she continue to watch episodes of a Netflix show to get to the good part (never mind that Sara hadn’t watched it and was stringing her along). We will hold Rebeka to her promise that she comes back to visit us in the summer for sure!
