We will be paving the driveway from Waxhaw Marvin to the barn this Tuesday. This will eliminate lots of dust both on the cars as well as around the farm and barn but it will come at a cost- We will need 24 hours of not driving on it with any cars- and even more time for horse trailers and delivery trucks. While paving, the company will be putting in a few speed bumps in to remind us to take it slow along our drive way- our neighbors have young children and dogs that they worry will get squished out there- and having witnessed a few speed demons myself, I can’t blame them.
Our neighbor Ken Pierce has been super considerate in allowing us to pull in to his drive way- which is the next driveway down Waxhaw Marvin Rd- closer to to Waxhaw (the grey house with the giant straw barn) and Doug Pierce is letting us park in his field somewhat closer to the barn. Nonetheless we will need to do quite a bit of walking to get to and from the barn. Please allow extra time for this.
We will have the parking marked tomorrow in anticipation to when it takes effect- which is Tuesday at noon through Wednesday at noon. We will have caution tape blocking our driveway during this time as a reminder.
Thank you in advance. It will be super nice to have it done!
