I have requested 3 additional stalls for the May Aiken Charity Horse Shows- Weeks One ( 4/28-3 ) and Two. ( 5/5-10). This doesn’t mean that I can get them but we are on the wait list. Although I have limited the stalls on Sign Up Genius to 9 stalls , anyone who wants to put themselves down on the wait list will be able to do so shortly. I will ask Caroline to make the adjustments on Sign Up Genius. I can’t be trusted to be able to remember who wants which week if the stalls do become available!
We have added a B Show to our schedule- Stable View in Aiken. Although I haver been there, I am looking forward to attending. I hear from reputable sources that the facility is top notch and beautiful. Please note that the show dates are over Easter weekend. Despite being a B show, according to USEF, we can qualify Junior hunters if they earn a tri-color, something to also consider.
I will need to start getting Blowing Rock Commitments in now- this year I will be ordering and prepaying for the stalls- It gets way to involved and confusing for all of us the ways we have been doing it in the past. Nonetheless I will need commitments asap. I would like starting this year for all of our families attending the show chip in for the Viewing Box that I have got every year. I will bill it out along with hotel and tack stalls that we use.
We are changing the format for our Cedarhill Farm Grass Roots Horse Show- returning to hunter and equitation divisions like most of the shows. The only difference is that our shows will not have simple changes penalized in either the hunter or equitation divisions, only in the $1000. Derby will changes still be required. Our first show of the season has just been added-and is just around the corner; Sunday, March 15 so sign up soon!
