The wait is over! Laura Brown came to interview this past week and we have offered her Steph’s job. She starts next week, giving her the opportunity to shadow Steph for the last week that Steph is with us.
We are super sad to have Steph leave us, I know her students, horses, vets, and farriers will be missing her, as well as Caroline and I. Super reliable, and dedicated to not letting anything fall through the cracks, Laura has some big shoes to fill.
Nonetheless, Laura has an impressive resume – having worked and trained many disciplines- beginners to advanced in eventing, jumpers, and dressage with a multitude of horses; thoroughbreds, Friesians, Arabians, Quarter Horses, and warm bloods. She has competed in 4 Rolex Kentucky 5 Star 3 Day eventing competitions, International and 2 Pan American Games, representing Mexico.
In a previous life, Laura has owned and trained her own equestrian facility, managing and training over 70 horses, working with all levels. Laura also has experience working with Autism, blind, and PTS riders.
We hope that everyone can join us this Saturday afternoon at the Guzinski house for a 2pm Farewell to Steph and Welcome to Laura Pool Party. We will have Pizza, Sweet Tea, Lemonade, Beer, Wine and Water.
Please confirm the number of people coming via Sign Up Genius Everyone is welcome, we want to make sure we have enough Pizza and drinks!
