Lots of new fuzzy faces at Cedarhill! Congrats to Claire Croghan who full leased Lollie for the year- a lovely large bay mare that that is eligible green- they will have a fun time this year in the C show larges as well as the A show green pony division. Claire already has been applying patience; Lollie panics when being cornered to be caught in her turn out and has needed a patient person to coax her. I think she has found her in Claire…
Dante was a long time coming for Lizzy- we first tried him in August… patience and luck was required to make it all work; Lizzy and the Carters are now super excited to call him their own! He will start out in the 2’6 hunters before moving up to the children’s hunter division. He’s the busy body one who nickers his greetings to everyone as he passes them in the ring.
The Caldwell girls- Annie and Cecelia had a great Christmas- receiving as gifts the privilege of half leasing Jackson and Carmen. They have had a busy holiday break riding, grooming, and running after to catch Carmen!
Sierra Jackson continues to half lease Faith- a great large pony mare that gives Sierra much confidence in her riding. Together they have excelled in the show ring.
Leigh Wardlaw starts full leasing Splotch January 1st… she is looking forward to a fun year with him- starting in the pre-children’s division soon. Hopefully she will be getting him body clipped shortly since he loves to roll and get dirty- a shorter coat will be easier to bathe and keep clean, plus his covers should shield some of it!
Anne Carden Chapman, Sumner and Marshall Broadfoot, and Kate Bollermann have hopefully found great ones as well – to be confirmed in the next month, depending on vettings… fingers crossed!
Izzy Roberts is still in search of her ideal short stirrup mount, Sydney Whitman is in the hunt for a large pony, and Haley Roberts has just announced the beginning of our search for her next mount- a 3’3 Junior hunter… so we are still in search of the good ones!
